As Campus Administrator/Director of Finance for Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, Ray Francis represents the institution as its Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the Accounting and Finance function at the University. He ensures the efficient management of fiscal resources to support the University’s strategic objective.
Additionally, Mr. Francis leads the Administrative arm of the University, with responsibility for Accounting, Purchasing, Facilities Management, Safety and Security, Information Technology and the RUSVM Prep School. He is focused on and passionate about ensuring that RUSVM has the appropriate facilities to deliver a high quality experience for students and colleagues alike.
Mr. Francis graduated from the University of the West Indies in 2003, as valedictorian, with a BSc in accounting (first class honours). In 2009, he became a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) of the United Kingdom, later becoming a fellow in 2014. In 2009, he was a recipient of the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship Award and pursed an MSc in Finance at the University of Warwick, graduating with distinction in 2010.
Mr. Francis brings more than 10 years’ experience as a finance professional, having worked as a Finance Analyst and Senior Management Accountant with Dominica Electricity Services Limited before joining the RUSVM family.
