Candita “Candi” Chapman joined Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 as an Anatomic Pathology Technician in the Necropsy Lab. As the sole technician for over five years, she managed the daily operations of the Lab while providing technical and administrative support for the anatomic pathologists. An opportunity to become more versed in medical technology led her to join the Diagnostic Lab in 2017 as a Lab Services Technician. However, she rejoined the Pathology team in 2018 with the dual role of Manager/Senior Pathology Technician, a role she continues today.
With a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Studies and a Master of Public Administration in Healthcare Management, she is well poised to lead the activities of the Pathology Lab. Her qualifications and wealth of experience enable her to improve the Lab’s operational efficiency, maintain its accreditation standards, manage its staff and lead new initiatives to enhance the student and colleague experience. Candi has also become well known for her enthusiasm and work in professional development for local college interns, advancing science in local schools and event planning and management.
