Originally from Satu Mare, Romania, she obtained her veterinary degree from University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca in Romania. Upon graduation, she earned a Master’s Degree in Medical Veterinary Clinic and Radiology from University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca in Romania and a co-jointly PhD Degree in “Ultrasonographic and Anatomopathological Study of Deep Digital Flexor Tendon Apparatus in the Equine Foot” from University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca, Romania and University of Caen-Basse Normandie, France.

In 2013, Dr. Crișan completed a specialty internship in equine lameness and diagnostic imaging at CIRALE-HIPPOLIA, France.

In 2014-2015, Dr Crișan completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca in Romania in evaluation of the molecular techniques in equine embryo sexing.

She has more than 5-year experience as an Assistant Professor of Veterinary Anatomy at University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca in Romania (October 2013-July 2016), St George’s University, Grenada, West Indies (August 2016-June 2018) and she joined RUSVM on October 2019.

In July 2019 she completed a one-year internship in Equine Integrative Sports Medicine at UC DAVIS, California, USA. During this program she was also involved in research and teaching activities, including anatomy labs.
