VIRTUAL SUTURE WORKSHOP
Sunday, March 6, 2022
1:30 – 2:30 PM ET
Take advantage of a unique opportunity to learn more about veterinary clinical skills! Join our immersive Virtual Suture Workshop, taught by a Ross Vet Alum, for a hands-on demonstration of veterinary suturing techniques. As a part of this “at home lab,” we’ll send you a practice suture kit that includes all the essential tools and a suture pad you will use to practice on.
Our Rossies will join you on camera via Zoom and will walk you through a variety of suture knots and techniques. This is your chance to practice your suturing skills on a variety of wounds while getting an inside look at what a veterinary school clinical skills lab would be like.
How it Works
- Fill out the registration form below to receive a suture kit in the mail in advance of the virtual workshop – this is what you will use to practice on during the session!
Please note: Suture kits will arrive approximately 1 week prior to the event. Please make sure the address you register with is the correct location for receiving your kit. P.O. Box addresses will not be accepted.
- You will be asked to join our alumni and fellow students via Zoom. Please ensure you have a working microphone and camera on your device, and that your device is compatible with Zoom software prior to the workshop.
- Our alumni instructors will lead the workshop on screen and you will follow along with your suture kit at home. This is a live interactive session, so you will have the opportunity to ask questions and get help in real time. Think of this as a virtual veterinary classroom!
Space is limited. You will be required to confirm your attendance with one of our Admissions colleagues prior to the session. We look forward to providing you with insight into veterinary clinical skills!
Disclaimer: This workshop is for experiential purposes only and is not intended to take the place of any course or veterinary school training. Participating in this workshop does not guarantee admission to veterinary school nor does it guarantee the participant will achieve the proficiency in suturing that is gained from higher education training.
