Have you always had a passion for rescue and/or shelter animals? Curious as to how to make this an area of focus in your career as a future veterinarian?
Join Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine faculty members, Dr. Andrea Peda and Dr. Mary Mauldin, as they host a live webinar to discuss what exactly is shelter medicine, why it is important, how veterinaries are involved, and much more! They will also give you an in-depth look into shelter medicine related opportunities that are available to students during their time at Ross Vet including:
- Rescue organization clubs on campus
- One Love Pets
- Basseterre Animal Rescue Center (BARC)
- Community outreach days
- Mandatory 7th semester Shelter Medicine rotation
- Shelter Medicine elective course
There will also be plenty of time at the end of the presentation for live Q&A with our faculty members to be sure all of your questions are answered.
