  • Preventive Care

The RUVC provides comprehensive wellness services including physical examinations, vaccinations, and parasite prevention. Our goal is a long and healthy life for your pet. Wellness appointments allow clinicians to put together an appropriate plan for your pet.

  • Dental Care

Dental care is very important in the general health of pets, and a dental exam is included in the annual care program. An extensive range of dental care is available at the RUVC, and your clinician will help you develop an appropriate dental plan for your pet.

  • Spay and Neuter Clinic

The RUVC offers a Spay and Neuter Clinic for dogs as part of its community outreach activities and education program. This service is offered to the general public at no cost to the client, and includes a pre-surgical physical examination, routine blood work and pain management, as well as anesthesia and the surgical procedure with one night of hospitalization after the surgery. The patient must meet a minimum level of health during the preoperative physical examination to be eligible for the surgery. These surgeries form part of the training for our students and are carried out under the direct supervision of surgeons. This service has been in operation for many years and has been very successful in reducing pet overpopulation in St. Kitts.

  • Emergency Care

The RUVC provides 24-hour emergency service. Outside of regular appointment hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday), pets are seen on an emergency basis. The out of hours Emergency Fee is EC $200 and the Day Emergency Fee is EC $150. Do not call this number for any reason other than a small animal emergency. RUVC clinicians are not expected to answer questions unrelated to emergency care.
