Where You Will Study
- St. Kitts Campus – Semesters 1-7
Students complete the seven-semester pre-clinical curriculum comprised of classroom learning and early hands-on animal interaction on our St. Kitts campus.
- AVMA-Accredited Clinical Affiliate – Semesters 8-10
The successful completion of the pre-clinical curriculum is followed by a three-semester clinical year at one of our 32 AVMA-accredited affiliate veterinary schools, including the University of Saskatchewan. During this year, you will take the same rotations, and will be evaluated and treated the same as our partner school’s own students, while remaining enrolled and graduating from Ross.
Accreditation, Licensing & Returning Home to Practice
Our DVM program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education (AVMA COE) which allows Canadian graduates are eligible to practice back home in Canada upon the successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination® (NAVLE).
Canada has Provincial Licensing Bodies that may have additional requirements for the province/territory where you wish to practice.
Who has attended?
Since 2010, Ross has enrolled eighty students from twenty different Canadian institutions including: University of Guelph, University of British Columbia, University of Alberta, University of Calgary, McGill University, University of Saskatchewan, University of Toronto and more.
Each year, Ross holds events across Canada where prospective students are able to learn more about the school, meet Canadian alumni, and get their questions answered in person.
In addition to our larger events, Ross representatives will frequently visit campuses across Canada to meet with pre-veterinary clubs, give campus presentations, and participate in smaller events to provide an opportunity for prospective veterinarians to learn more about our school. Check back frequently to learn when we will be in your area!
