We strive to make research opportunities available to all students. DVM students can take advantage of research assistant and research volunteer opportunities available in-semester, or explore this combined DVM MSc Dual Degree program.
Intercalated DVM / Master’s By Research
This 13-semester program provides our DVM and Dual Degree DVM students the opportunity to develop their research experience and interests while building on other research activities that are part of the DVM curriculum. As a student, you will:
Undertake a Project
Undertake a project specific to one of our four research centers, working with our research-active community, with the supervision of faculty members.
Immerse Yourself
Have the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in research for three semesters, including training and preparation for your project.
Advance Your Knowledge & Deliver
Be expected to show you can deliver and manage your project and advance knowledge within your chosen discipline.
Complete Your Thesis
The core requirement for the Master's by Research degree is the completion of a substantial research project that is written up as a thesis.
