After graduation from University of Liverpool in 2001, Dr. Fairs spent a year working for The Ministry of Agriculture in the UK during a nationwide outbreak of Foot & Mouth Disease.
Since 2002 Dr. Fairs has worked in a variety of small animal practices across the UK including the largest small animal emergency center in the UK.
Before joining RUSVM as director of RUVC in 2014, he worked for The People’s Dispensary of Sick Animals (PDSA) for seven years. This not-for-profit organization operates 50 small animal hospitals across the UK and is commonly used by veterinary schools in the UK as a teaching resource.
