Dr. Ghosh has an interdisciplinary teaching and research experience, encompassing the areas of Veterinary and Medical Virology, Molecular Epidemiology, Viral genomics, and Zoonosis/One-Health. He has published more than 100 research papers and review articles in peer-reviewed international journals with over 2600 citations. Dr. Ghosh serves as the section/associate editor of research journals Archives of Medical Science, Frontiers in Microbiology, Frontiers in Veterinary Sciences (review editor), and in the editorial board of Pathogens and epidemiologia (MDPI). He is a member of the ICTV Picobirnaviridae study group, distinguished member of World Society for Virology, and fellow of Indian Virological Society. He is a recipient of Zoetis Award for Veterinary Research Excellence. He was involved in research capacity building and training in developing tropical countries, and instrumental in establishing the molecular virology laboratory at RUSVM. He is the course director of DVM-Virology at RUSVM, teaches the online MSc one-health course, and received twice the CARE award for his contributions to teaching.
