About Our Host

Dr. Chad Harris

Originally from Odessa, Texas, Dr. Chad Harris earned a DVM degree at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. His clinical rotation year was performed at the University of Minnesota in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Dr. Harris' many interests in veterinary medicine include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, stem cell therapy, avian medicine and surgery, reptile medicine and surgery, fish medicine and surgery, and cardiology. He has previously served as a Director-at-Large for the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association and is the current president of the Texas Veterinary Medical Foundation.  He has been honored as one of 20 DVMs by the American Veterinary Medical Foundation as one of "America's Favorite Veterinarians." In 2019, Dr. Harris received Ross Vet's "Rising Star Award," which recognizes a member of the alumni community who has graduated in the last 10 years and has already achieved early career success.

In 2014, Dr. Harris became the Chief of Staff at North Austin Animal Hospital in Austin, Texas, where he currently practices. In 2015, he was promoted to Chief of Staff Adviser and began overseeing operations for the VetCor practices within the state of Texas. He has since added the states of Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and most recently, California.
