When you think of “lab animal medicine,” you think of treating only lab mice and rats, right? Think again! Veterinarians with this specialty treat a variety of animals, and are responsible for ensuring ethical standards are met when using, caring for, and treating all species in research.

Find out more about this specialty, and how to discover and pursue other veterinary specialties, by joining our virtual event hosted by Alumna Dr. Lynlee Stevey-Rindenow, veterinary resident at the University of Southern California.

This is your opportunity to:

  • Examine the day-to-day life of a lab animal veterinarian
  • Learn about the various IACUC standards in the ethical care of laboratory animals
  • Hear about the ways in which vet students can discover and gain experience in various specialties before graduating
  • Learn more about Dr. Stevey-Rindenow’s prestigious residency at the University of Southern California
