Wentworth “Wenty” Sargent is a versatile Lab Technician with over a decade of experience in biomedical science and a strong passion for biology, mechanical engineering, and hands-on craftsmanship. For the past 8 years, he’s been integral to the team at St. Kitts Biomedical, where he excels in lab operations, blood draws, surgical assistance, and precision model making. Prior to that, he honed his skills over 2 years at Ross University, working in both academic and clinical environments.
Wenty combines meticulous technical skills with practical mechanical aptitude—he also works as a mechanic, ensuring lab instruments run smoothly. He’s highly proficient in inventory organization, maintaining an orderly, safe, and efficient workspace through methods like FIFO systems, labeling, and stock tracking—key to minimizing waste, avoiding shortages, and improving lab workflow.
Outside of the lab, Wenty is an entrepreneur who manages several small businesses, and he applies his engineering mindset to model making—a hobby that sharpens his attention to detail and reinforces his methodical approach to both scientific and mechanical challenges.
