
Desirée Mc Koy, MPM, BA
As Director of Operations for Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, Desirée Mc Koy is responsible for advancing the University’s strategic priorities and developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with senior leadership across RUSVM, within Adtalem, and across the community.
Desirée is responsible for operations leadership including Projects: Operations and Events, Safety & Security, Facilities, and the Environment Health and Safety departments along with an accredited Preparatory School. Additionally, she holds responsibility as the Incident Commander for RUSVM’s campus emergency response.
Mrs. Mc Koy obtained a partial scholarship in 1998 from the St. Kitts Nevis Trading and Development Co. Ltd (TDC) and went on to pursue and secure her first degree, graduating from the Bernard Baruch College, CUNY, New York, in May 2002 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Public Accounting (Magna Cum Laude). She later pursued a Master of Project Management degree from the Keller Graduate School of Management, graduating with distinction in December 2010.
Desirée is proud of her more than 26 years’ experience as a business professional, (16+ years at RUSVM), performing creditably in the fields of internal auditing, inventory management, procurement, facilities, and project management before stepping into her current role as Director of Operations. Noteworthy is the fact that Desirée was responsible for the establishment of the Ross University Purchasing & Inventory Department in April 2004. Awards bestowed upon her over the years include TDC Employee of the Year 1997/98, first-ever as an internal Auditor, the Michael King Scholarship from 1999 – 2002, the Dean’s list at Baruch College, 1999-2002, RUSVM Ron Taylor Award 2009, 2015, 2016, and 2018 and the RUSVM prestigious Teach Award in 2019.
