Clàudia Viñeta Viladecans, DVM
Dr Clàudia Viñeta received her veterinary degree from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2019. Following graduation, she completed a general rotating internship at a referral hospital in Spain, where she subsequently worked for several months gaining further clinical experience in small animal practice. She then undertook a second general rotating internship at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, followed by a specialty internship in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the same institution. After this period of advanced clinical training, she began her residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine under the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine – Companion Animals (ECVIM-CA) and is currently board-eligible. In 2026, Dr Viñeta joined Ross University as an Assistant Professor in Small Animal Medicine.
Her primary research interests include infectious diseases and renal disorders in companion animals, with a strong focus on clinically applicable research that bridges internal medicine and patient care. She also has a particular interest in veterinary education and student training, with emphasis on integrating clinical reasoning and evidence-based medicine into teaching. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking in the mountains, running, and diving.
